Audra McDonald and Stephen Colbert Duet The Gershwins’ “Summertime” from “Porgy and Bess”
I just found out about this appearance.
Actress-singer Audra McDonald, currently on Broadway in the revised and controversial version of George and Ira Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, paid a visit to Stephen Colbert recently.
McDonald also explained a little why this version of the 80-plus year old musical is considered controversial. And she also sang with an assist from Mr. Truthiness himself. He doesn’t sound too bad, but I wouldn’t quit his day job.
Enjoy.
