Sorry To Be Gone So Long…

I had things to do offline…but it doesn’t mean that I don’t have very much to say about:

  • Nadya Suleman is still very much in the news.  She’s fired the nurses sent by Gloria Allred and Angels in Waiting, a nonprofit nurses organization that cares for premies, at-risk infants, and multiple birth babies.  Meanwhile, Kaiser-Permanente has sent nurses in the interim to care for four of the octuplets who have arrived home, and Dr. Phil has officially washed his hands of her.
  • Barack Obama held his second press conference Tuesday night.
  • Eliot Spitzer was interviewed on Fareed Zakaria’s CNN show Sunday.
  • Historian John Hope Franklin has died at the age of 94.
  • The 47-year-old son of Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes, Nicholas Hughes, hung himself in Alaska  last Monday.
  • Jimi Izrael’s few words in The Root about a 1962 debate between Malcolm X and Bayard Rustin.
  • The Sacramento tent city is about to be relocated to the Cal Expo Fairgrounds for three months as joblessness reaches nearly 12% in California.

It may be hump day, but stay tuned.
