Michael Jackson Updates: Doctor’s Offices Raided, Jackson Family Split on Confronting MJ Executors, “Secret Son”

Vodpod videos no longer available.

First, the toxicology reports on Michael Jackson’s remains, done by the L.A. County Coroner, won’t be released for another two weeks. My feeling is, these guys want to get this one right. Plus, there are unsubstantiated rumors that the results of the private autopsy asked for by the Jackson family are consistent with those conclusions found by the coroner. Once the toxicology results come in, there won’t be much doubt left. In other words, the far-out murder accusations offered by Joe and LaToya Jackson in British tabloids may be proven to be just that: unfounded accusations.

Joe Jackson is also pushing Katherine to go against the M.J. executors, John Branca and John McClain. The brothers and sisters, however, aren’t all on board about this. From TMZ.com yesterday:

Katherine Jackson has hired an attorney — Londell McMillan — and we’re told it’s a done deal that McMillan will challenge the co-executors Michael selected. We’re told most of the brothers — Randy the notable exception — are angry that McMillan has asserted himself by challenging co-executors John Branca and John McClain, both long time advisers and friends of M.J.

Ultimately, we’re told, Joe Jackson has asserted his influence over Katherine to hire McMillan. We’re told Katherine is really being manipulated and doesn’t even have real objections to Branca and McMillan.

Randy is coy on who Joe and McMillan want as executor in place of or in addition to Branca and McClain — the family is worried Joe and McMillan will rack up legal fees and the estate will suffer. Pretty ironic, since Michael cut Joe out of the will and he gets zippo as a beneficiary.

At about the same time, Londell McMillan and Burt Levitch, Katherine’s lawyers, filed legal papers last Friday asking a judge to rule whether Katherine can fight the appointment of Branca and McClain as executors and still collect the money stipulated from her son’s will.

Here’s the issue. There’s a “no contest” clause in the will, meaning anyone who files objections to the will automatically gets no money. McMillan and Levitch want to know if the “no contest” clause would apply if Katherine only objects to the executors Michael chose.

In another TMZ story today, Katherine says she simply wants to be at the table with the executors, with an eye on the money. Of course, Joe is egging her on. It’s another of several salvos.

McMillan says Katherine will not challenge the will, but as far as the executors are concerned, he says, “She deserves a seat at the table at a minimum.” McMillan would not say if Katherine merely wanted to be named as a third executor or whether she wanted to challenge John Branca and John McClain, the named co-executors.

Sources connected with Katherine claim she has already asked the co-executors to allow her to participate in the decision-making and her request was “rejected.”

McMillan says neither he nor Katherine are pushing for Joe to become a co-executor.

Yeah, but someone is definitely pushing somebody.

If a judge does find that the “no contest” clause in Michael’s will does apply to the executors, that’s not the end of a lot of machinations; Joe’ll push to burn up even more cash to find a judge that will.

Joe Jackson wants his mitts on the cash, if he can’t get custody or be named as a beneficiary, and he’ll manipulate his wife and his son in order to do so, come hell or high water.

Joe Jackson still wants money for his dreams and schemes. Michael Jackson’s money is NOT his money. I think the brothers (and sisters) felt that Katherine would have done them right by parceling off her 40% share to those Jacksons who have experienced hard times lately, and that would have been the end of it. Katherine should have put her foot down.

I think too that Randy has been manipulated by his father. I wouldn’t put it past Joe suggesting to Randy that he could become a Jackson trustee representing the family interests–with his dad giving him advice behind the scenes. The fact that McMillan says that neither Katherine or Joe have suggested Joe as a trustee means nothing. But I think Joe wants to have someone as a stooge out there doing his bidding, and worming the cash over to him. It’s just that obvious.

I’m sorry, but I think that it’s past time Joe Jackson died, ya know? I mean, excuse me for wishing that someone was dead. I don’t normally ask the Universe such a thing everyday. I wish Katherine or the family could simply tell him to go home to Las Vegas. However, when it gets down to someone just causing division, upset, dismay and disturbance for money, the grasping old hustler and abuser needs to go. I mean really. Evil sticks around longer and farther these days, you realize, when it is allowed to prosper. I can see why Michael didn’t want his father around period.

Regarding the development that a 25-year-old Norwegian hip-hop artist, Omer Bhatti, is claiming that he is Michael’s secret son: without DNA, this is one of those stories. However, the young man and his family have spent lots of quality time with Michael, and it could be that his mother Pia may have produced Michael’s youngest child and son, Prince Michael Jackson II, otherwise known as Blanket. He was photographed sitting with the family during the funeral at Staples. I hope he finds out exactly who he is, and when he does, what he wants to do about that. Because it would open up a whole new kettle of fish about who exactly are Michael’s children.

Today, Dr. Conrad Murray’s Houston offices were raided by the DEA:

Los Angeles police and officials from the Drug Enforcement Administration searched the Armstrong Medical Clinic in Houston, Texas, for around two-and-a-half hours.

They took away ‘a forensic image’ of a computer hard drive and 21 documents.

‘The search warrant authorised law enforcement to search for and seize items, including documents, they believed constituted evidence of the offence of manslaughter,’ Dr Murray’s attorney, Ed Chernoff, said in a statement posted on his firm’s website.

Mr Chernoff also confirmed investigators had asked for additional documents from his client.

This follows the L.A. coroner asking and getting Michael Jackson’s medical records from another recalcitrant physician, Dr. Arnold Klein, formerly Michael Jackson’s dermatologist and suspected sperm donor for his children. Klein kept stalling, and wouldn’t mail them or come up with the records until the coroner’s rep personally came to his Beverly Hills offices. Today, Jackson’s nurse Cherilyn Lee also got a visit from Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter, and he walked out of her office with Jackson’s medical records. Winter said that Lee was quite cooperative, and stressed that she was not under investigation.

I think Winter came just in case Lee would stall like Klein and Murray. In every situation where I’ve seen her publicly interviewed, this woman has been upfront primarily because I think she wants to continue to work.

Regarding Dr. Conrad Murray, however, it looks increasingly bleak for him. That the DEA and L.A.P.D raided his offices in pursuit of “evidence of the offence of manslaughter”–but not murder one–looks like the authorities are narrowing who will be charged with what. With Dr. Arnold Klein, this is just the tip of the iceberg, as he may know of other gentlemen who were giving Michael Jackson illegal prescriptions for his habit.

Stay tuned.
