Betty White on “SNL” This Saturday
I don’t understand Betty’s appeal and
fifth second wind these days. But I liked her even when she was on late beloved husband Allen Ludden’s Password and other game shows in the Sixties. She’s one of the few entertainers around one cannot say anything bad about. She’s had a long career, let me tell you.
And now she’s about to pick up the sometimes moribund Saturday Night Live for 90 minutes. Who knew an 88-year-old could have that kind of staying power? It must have been all those Mary Tyler Moore Show reruns. Or were they Golden Girls reruns? Senior moment, here.
There may be hope for Abe Vigoda.
Oh, yeah. Jay-Z’s going to be the musical entertainment, too.
