The President at Booker T. Washington High School Commencement, Memphis, Tennessee, May 16, 2011
Just a last one before going to work. It’s a good commencement address. For them, those students who worked so hard, it’s a great commencement address.
It’s good news; nothing like good news about achieving a goal and moving on to the next, and the next, and the next. It’s a wonderful moment for these kids to carry with them for the rest of their lives.

I’ll be commenting on the waters of the Mississippi affecting white Cajuns on one side and black Delta inhabitants on the other; I will also be commenting on more information regarding the African immigrant woman who was sexually abused by Dominique Strauss-Kahn, and the lack of self-examination–nay, racism and sexism–coming from the French. It ain’t pretty…
Anyway, I’ve got to prepare for my work shift, and I’ll be back online late this p.m. Have a great one.
