Livestreaming from Dr. Conrad Murray’s Criminal Manslaughter Trial for the Death of Michael Jackson
UPDATE (11:20 a.m., 10/6/11): If you’d like some commentary with your viewing, the Los Angeles Times has both here. And some doctors are weighing in from around the world with comments on the testimony, as well as other medical professionals, fans, and simply curious citizenry.
UPDATE (10:10 a.m., 9/29/11): The trial resumes at 8:45 a.m. Pacific Time, or 10:45 a.m. Central Time.
UPDATE (9:20 a.m., 9/28/11): Okay, I’ve decided to use UStream, too. It will take you directly to the CBS News feed on UStream. At least you’ll get a look at the Great Seal of the State of California when you press the start button on the screen. Then you’ll know where you are. So take your pick. If one feed fails, the other will pick up the slack.
NOTE: This Black Sista’s Page is on Central Time; Dr. Conrad Murray’s trial is occurring in California, and therefore is on Pacific Time. A blank screen means that there is no activity; that is, that proceedings have recessed briefly or adjourned for the day. Apparently, there is no recap or loop of the day’s proceedings. In Wisconsin, I am two hours ahead of what is happening in California. Right now, this morning, around 7:30 a.m., people are still asleep in the Pacific Time Zone. It’s 5:30 a.m. there. So cool your jets. If TMZ.com will use another link today, I will revise and provide the streaming link. If that proves unsatisfactory, I will find another or still better link.
I’m going to reserve comment until later. If those of you don’t know where I stand, check my archives at the right where it says “Search,” and you’ll get everything I’ve written on Michael, his drug taking, his reliance on quacks and hangers-on, and especially on Dr. Conrad Murray.

This is reportedly a photo of Michael Jackson, his mouth hanging open in death, lying on a gurney at the hospital; it was shown at the Conrad Murray trial as part of a slide show during the prosecution's opening statements. There are larger sizes of this photo online, but I wasn't going to use one. I can only hope that Paris and Prince were spared seeing this; it is a shocking, sobering and ultimately heartbreaking sight (Courtesy: Metro.co.uk)
It’s about time this trial finally commenced, but sorrowfully for his fans and family, it won’t bring Michael back from the dead. If anything, everyone is going to get an earful about how misplaced the family’s suspicions have been regarding some kind of medical conspiracy involving the current trustees and executors of Michael’s money and property. And still, I predict, they will insist that some sinister hand pushed Murray to do this deed, so far without evidence of a paper or a witness trail.
And no, Jackson’s two elder children, Paris and Prince Michael, will not be asked to come and testify unless absolutely necessary. But even then, probably not. Even the prosecution believes that this is too much. Another zoo this trial will ultimately become, but the effluence need not wash up on them.
No, I think that it was Michael’s hand with Murray’s quackery and inexperience with Propofol along with several other drugs that probably were still circulating in his body when the Propofol was administered. Thus added to Propofol, they became a kind of lethal cocktail, something even Kevorkian would be proud of. Is it any wonder why Propofol should be administered by a trained anesthesiologist in a hospital?
But no. Michael Jackson wanted shortcuts. And he could pay for them–and for someone like Murray. Unfortunately, you can’t bribe the Grim Reaper for one more chance at life.
