That Political Video From Facebook: “Pickpocket” or “Get Your Hand Out of My Pocket, Mitt Romney”
I think that this video says it all, don’t you think? Especially when Mitt Romney’s picked the cruellest, Ayn Rand-worshipping, Tea Party favorite, Vice Presidential candidate ever. No way that his handlers will be able to Etch-a-Sketch Romney back to the center. Both Romney and Paul Ryan have declared war not only on President Obama, but on the lasting social legacies of presidents like Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and Lyndon Johnson.
Paul Ryan now joins a gallery of right-wing Wisconsinites who have boded the whole country ill. After all, this is the state that brought forth “Tailgunner” Joe McCarthy. Because the Ryan budget plan will kill us all. You don’t believe that Republicans will do this kind of thing? Read. Read it in the link below.
And these people will steal from and eventually bankrupt and gut Social Security. And Medicare. And Medicaid. They will get rid of unemployment insurance and welfare as well. (For your information, there is only a bit over 4 million TANF welfare recipients—or those receiving full benefits—in the entire country. Not 100 million as some right-wing loons like to claim.) Just like Mitt Romney has done with his vulture capitalist gang firm, Bain Capital messing with all those companies they bought with other people’s money.
And they won’t give those benefits to you. They will take it for themselves, leaving you with empty pockets.
The Hillbilly Report is quite succinct:
Even if there is a crisis in Social Security as Republicans claim, the simple fact of the matter is this: Republicans care not about preserving the retirements of millions of Americans. Indeed, for decades now they have been trying to take it away and give it to the wealthy as the most helpless in society, the elderly, the disabled, and orphans lose their benefits and their Medicare. This is not a scare tactic, it is clearly contained in a plan for all Americans to see.
So, while millions of Americans may think they hate their government they should consider this. Does anyone they love or themselves depend on Social Security or Medicare to survive?? If so, if you vote Republican it is a stab in the back to all of these people. The Republican “solution” to the “crisis” they themselves dreamed up for Social Security is to steal your money and give it to the wealthy all while making the most vulnerable in our society fend for themselves to pay for it, and run up a bigger deficit on the backs of working America and our children.
If it wasn’t clear before, it will be now. For your good, for the good of your family, and for the good of our country, vote Democratic this November. Not just for President Obama, but for a Democratic Congress that will help all Americans.
