Trayvon’s Death Scene

Yesterday, June 25, was a bad day in my life: hearing about the gutting of the Voting Rights Act by a reactionary Supreme Court as well as viewing the death scene photos taken immediately after the killing. (More about VRA later.) Ordinarily, I would not do this, as I did with the photos of Michael Jackson’s death room scene. But this case looks more and more like Emmett Till and Oscar Grant rolled into one. Here they are, and after you do view them, please pray for justice for Trayvon Martin.

The photo below came from Matt Drudge’s site, truth be told. I can well imagine the kind of racist necrophilia that emitted from that site on viewing this child.

Some of these photos are not only from U.S. sources, but from British sources, namely the Daily Mail. As you can imagine, this is a case with international pull. The first video that I wanted to use was scrapped from You Tube because Trayvon’s face and body were not obscured.

I find it difficult to understand how Zimmerman was found not guilty. He is told not to follow the person by the 911 caller, yet he exit his vehicle, with a gun and pursues Trayvon. I pray for Trayvon’s family and that their faith will keep them strong.

All of you “justice team trayvon peolple” please answer 2 questions.. no 1, did zimmerman break any laws by following and OBSERVING trayvon? And secondly did Trayvon attempt to flee or call police, or did he break the law by violently assualting zimmerman? Justice served.

Zimmerman could have been arrested for getting in the way of the police, since they already told him that they were on their way and for him to sit tight. As a neighborhood watch, he is only supposed to watch, not try to apprehend the subject.
I don’t think that Trayvon Martin had time to break away or call police, since it is obvious from what Ms. Jeantel said that he was set upon by Zimmerman who wanted to get his “collar.” And GZ is not a policeman and never will be.

I am a 69 yr old Grandma I think this is the most horriable form of justice I have ever saw. Zimmerman got away with cold blooded murder.He had no right to chase Trayvon down and murder him. I hope to goodness he has a miserable life for the rest of his ,but I don’t think he will he has no remorse for what he did and no feelings for anyone but hisself. He is nothing but a lier and a killer..It was not God’s plan tfor him to kill Trayvon.

They did apparently what they thought was the Law. We cant judge them, we weren’t there, and didn’t see every single thing. It would be different if there were eyewitnesses… So Stop making Hispanics look like Fools…Same as any other color or race.. One doesn’t represent the whole…. I am glad I wasn’t on that jury… I couldn’t weigh that on my soul… Seeing things on their side must have been hard. Knowing what masses and Medias expected, yet choosing the latter. I hope they did it by the Book… Otherwise… there are more people for God to handle in the long run.

This is Just a Horrible Thing. This Kid lost his life… Whether he was a great Church going Straight A kid, or a “thug”… He is gone, and his family will suffer for many many years. Ive lost a child, so after 14 years, the pain may ease, but the Hollow stays forever. As for Zimmerman, Lets not use a race issue . He is Hispanic or something, Travon was Black. It was killing… No color to it. A Hate Crime should never be about color, but how sadistic the act is… To hate someone to do such things is heinous itself. I pray that Travons Family finds peace… The Zimmerman guy may have gotten no jail… But think of the torture he gets to endure forever… Knowing, right or wrong, that he killed a kid… and always being known for that… and it will follow him forever. To me, that’s a torture itself. Have we ever really stopped and thought about that? How can YOU ( or I) Sleep at night after such a mess…. Peace For Travon and His Family. Lets not riot or act fools, cause that does the young mans memory no justice at all…. But Honor him… That is a justice… and Let God Deal with the rest… Because his punishments are far worse than ours… and If he sees the wrong… He may be dealing with it already…. Because we cant be in the mind of Zimmerman….Who knows…. I will keep praying for this family who lost this young man.. I know their heartache.

The sweatshirt on the deceased body and the sweatshirt being examined in court are not the same. One is a hooded sweatshirt and one is not. Someone’s research is not accurate – you may want to take a second, third, and final look at the information you posted.

It’s already been indicated that Trayvon Martin wore another sweatshirt underneath the hoodie sweatshirt. This is brought out by court documents. If you are suggesting that conspiracy theory that he went home and put on another shirt and then met Zimmerman, you’re getting too far afield of the facts.

Apparently YOUR information is not accurate. Trayvon was indeed wearing a second sweatshirt underneath the black hooded sweatshirt pictured at the crime scene, so you may want to take a “second, third, and final look” at your information in which you claim to know.

i can not believe that the jury found him not guilty of anything!!!!!!!!!he fooled our currupt system but justice will be served on judgement day by the lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right now, I’m stunned. The system failed Trayvon. I attempted to write a comment here a week ago, but never posted it. Seeing the photo of Trayvon’s body was incredibly upsetting. I could never imagine the pain his parents had to endure upon seeing that. None of this makes sense: a dispatcher tells Zimmerman to stay in his vehicle and to not pursue, Zimmerman provokes a confrontation… Zimmerman was acting on suspicion; he never saw Trayvon do anything. Thank you for this blog – it taught more than the news did.

Race put aside, Zimmerman should
go to jail for not listening when he was told not to follow him. He was specifically told not to follow him and he still followed that boy. And when he got his ass kicked he ran to that gun. However, Trayvon did handle it wrong . He should had called the police when he was being followed by an unidentified man not in uniform or anything.

Agree. Both Sides were in the Wrong in a sense… and A Young man is gone, and a man will live with the knowledge of killing him in his mind every single day for the rest of his life. Black, White, Red, Brown, Don’t matter the color… Its the crime…We weren’t there to witness it…So we may never know exactly what happened and what was said, other than ears on phones, and Zimmerman…. Pray for Peace. Color Don’t make the killer… Attitude does.

I understand that Trayvon’s case is important. I also know that it is exhausting for anyone to have to wait this long for justice to be made. My uncle was killed like Trayvon, except by a member of his own race. I just hope that this one issue doesn’t cause more racial problems then it already has. I know some might like this response because I am saying get out of their business, but all his family wanted was justice for the killing of their son, brother, friend, nephew, cousin,etc. They did ot want to start killings and all kinds of other mess. Anyway, Trayvon’s murder will never leave our minds. R.I.P

Treyvon’s death was needless and tragic, but let’s be realistic and honest about him. He was a troubled young man who wanted to be a bad-ass, his mother gave up on him quite young because he had behavioral problems, he had already had a run-in with the police, a history of assault, and the photos and texts on his cell phone paint a not-so-angelic picture of him.
When he died he was stoned, probably walking next to and around buildings to stay dry – which I’m sure would appear as odd behavior, was followed and instead of approaching the follower with respect and honesty decided to go all “gangsta” on him.
He decided to be a bad-ass with the wrong guy that night, and paid a horrible price. If I had been George Z I’d have shot him too. And you would have too…

George Zimmerman: I have seen far too many guys like him who thinks that manhood is at the business end of a gun. For all of the martial arts training he possessed, it’s amazing that he would use a gun. Isn’t that what martial arts is about, to use tactics to disable an attacker without the use of a gun? And why did he put a bullet in the chamber ahead of a confrontation? He is an IDIOT; what you follow and what you support is what you are.
The opposite is actually true about Trayvon; what you have learned is strictly from right-wing websites who want to make him more than what he actually was, a kid trying to get home and frightened that a stranger was stalking him for no apparent reason. Trayvon was not required to identify himself in a place where he was a guest. Even a black defense witness who saw Trayvon earlier in the day saw nothing wrong or suspicious with him.
Why you would want to support someone who committed incest as a youth on a cousin (who exposed him on the witness stand), who was fighting while even in grade school, who got on the police blotter (and all this is documented) for drunkenness and for assaulting a police officer, and was on psychotropic drugs for anxiety and depression at the time he murdered Trayvon. Those drugs had a tendency to cause aggression and to heighten situations out of hand. Zimmerman was already seeing a psychotherapist for his problems; that’s why he refused therapy or medications for what he experienced that night. But he stopped seeing the shrink after the shooting.
Zimmerman has always wanted to be accepted, honored, and well-regarded. But he has tried too hard to be all of these things. In various times of his life, he has wanted to be a priest, a judge, a cop. These are all professions that require a lot from the people who perform these jobs. But they garner a lot of instant respect and regard from people. Zimmerman wants all of the latter without having the inner resources required for the job titles. He’s a poor substitute for a hero.
Trayvon was hardly stoned that night. They found trace elements of THC in his system, but no evidence that he had used within an hour of his death.

Don’t act as if you were a saint as a child because none of us were, he was an honor roll student who had two lives, in school he was obedient and at home he was relaxing. Watch what you say, just because you see a guy stick up his middle finger, wear gold teeth and a hoodie doesn’t make him bad, it means that you are just like Zimmerman, judging someone because of his/hers image. And since you decide to do the same thing that he did ,than I guess I would go all “gangsta ” (by the way who still says gangsta anyways). I hope you have a good Day and I hope you let your opinions out so people know who you are and so they can threaten you the same way they are doing to him since you would do the same thing that he did

Go on and remind me WHO the racist is? The photo was released by MSNBC. THEY released this. Drudge did exactly what you just did – released them after the fact.

I was referring to some of the kinds of people who get off on seeing a dead black body—they are the racists. I am hoping that SOME of the people who visit this site to see Trayvon’s body are doing so out of curiosity, and ultimately, sadness and mourning over what was done to him for no reason whatsoever.
No doubt, a lot of other people are coming here to gloat and leave some of the foulest messages ever left on my blog in ages. I have deleted the worst. I entertain no assumptions that everyone who comes to this blog to see the photos are in mourning for Trayvon. To put the photos up is not necessarily being racist, but Drudge is no friend to black people. The response to the photos is something else entirely.

It’s really sad. African Americans shoot and kill each other almost every day here in St. Louis. You never see the perpetrator on the front page of the news. So many young innocent children are also murdered because of gangg-related drive-bys. Where’s the out-cry for that? Where’s the big-league lawyers and prosecutors for them? While I lament Trayvon’s death and find it completely unecessary and tragic, there are so many other victims just like Trayvon who just seem to be forgotten. The media loves to sensationalize and add salt to the wounds, because that’s where the money is…but as for St. Louis, Mo, it’s almost an every day occurence that is just swept under the rug. We need to stop viewing people as “races” and start realizing the fact that we all bleed the same color blood, and we are ALL part of the human race. Crime sees no color, and it does not discriminate.

On the contrary, there are some black-on-black crimes that are so horrendous that they are on the front pages of our major newspapers. I am sorry to report that people have far less respect for one another than they did four decades ago. Certain whites and lighter-skinned people would like to see others of color as troublemakers and disturbers of the peace even though the majority of blacks, for example, are just like Trayvon: walking around and minding their own business, and having whites and Latinos and Asians as friends and relatives. I don’t have to talk about how thousands of blacks and Latinos are in prisons to understand that especially blacks are penalized for just being, and not for simply being larcenous. Many blacks and Latinos don’t get a good education, or even learn to read, until they are in jail. You do not understand how racism is institutionalized to the point where only certain people are allowed to rise, when all boats should be rising in this country. It’s not always about color with us, but class.

I saw those yesterday and all I can think of is all the Black bodies in streets all over this planet. Lifeless and such a waste. The solution to all our problems has probably been killed hundreds of times.
